Eastern Screech Owl

.

Don Alfredo, The Godfeather, came to us from an educational facility in Virginia.  He has a permanent wing injury, which makes it so that he cannot take care of himself in the wild.

The Godfeather is the red phase of an eastern screech owl.

Native Americans believe that the owl's role is as a messenger, responsible for carrying messages from the spirit road to the physical road.
