Kabuki is
one of our most popular program animals! He is a kinkajous, which is a
South American raccoon. These guys are what is known as a "key stone
species", without them, a whole part of our ecosystem would disappear

Gidget is our grey fox. She is one
of few of our animals who is not a rescue. She was donated to CLAWS as
an educational animal by a USDA licensed breeder.

ALF is a
non-releasable red-phased Eastern Screech Owl with a permanently injured
wing that makes him non-flighted and unable to take care of himself in the
wild. For this reason, he will be joining the CLAWS family to help
educate people about the animals with which we share our planet.

INOP is a
pure white pigeon, who is not albino. He does wonderfully in programs
and is a huge hit with the kids.

Mischief is our Patagonian Cavy, also known as
Mara. Mara are the third largest rodent in the world. Their
native habitat is Patagonia in South America.

Tuff is a Barred Owl, commonly found
throughout the eastern United States. Tuff was picked up by us as a 6
week old owlette with a compound fracture to his wing. Given his age
and type of injury, his wing healed in such a way as to prevent him from
being able to care for himself in the wild.
